Third year BL lit associate in the Bay Area. Joined firm in late May. 1060 billable (on pace for about 2200 or so), 120 pro bono. The only good thing is that the hours at my firm are fairly steady and predictable.
I'm actually going part-time to 80% next year to see if BL is sustainable longer-term. If that experiment fails, time to head in-house.

Re: Year End Billables Check
V50 senior associate. As of right now, I'm just shy of 2600 YTD with more than two weeks left in the billable year. Likely to crack 2700 unless I manage some time off. Lots of non-billable business development hours on top of that billable tally. I love the work, but feeling the burn right now in a major way.

As of July I was on pace for 2,500+. Year end November-to-November ended up 2036 + 5 pro bono (gotta get 20 more by year end).
Past few months have been sweet. Not in the remotest danger of ever being let go so I couldn't care less about hours.

2200 or close to it. At one point looked to be on tract for 2400 but then came a lull.

V15 transactional mid-level in non-NYC office; 2400 hours with 20 days left. About 30 of those are pro-bono, because I care about helping non-corporate persons.

A bit over 2100 at the moment. Will be 2250-ish at the end of the year unless things go badly wrong. Lockstep firm. That includes some pro bono, but not sure how much. 50-70-ish.
At one point was on pace for nearly 3500 hours, so the second half of the year has been a bit of a relief...

Secondary market lit boutique (defense). Was on pace for 1850 plus 150 nonbillable bizdev/bar activities with 1.5 months to go before I left to clerk.

First-year associate. Secondary southern market. V100. About 1800 year end total (includes ~200 pro bono). Wondering if I'll get a firm spanking (no pun intended).

Re: Year End Billables Check
First-year, NYC V5. On pace for ~1800, about ~100 pro bono. Was averaging 100 hours a month early on, hit a streak of ~250ish hour months, but it's been pretty steady 10-7 for the past month or so. Overall I'm surprised at how much I don't hate this job, although it's easy to say now when I'm not in the middle of a 300-hour month.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
