Since you're gonna be leaving this off your resume anyway, you're really just like any other Valer with no job upon grad and a bar failure. I hope you can get that surgery moved up and get back to job searching.

Which isn't the same thing at all. A firm who won't fire a paralegal who doesn't have a jd and isn't hoping to pass the bar and leave the job soon might feel they are wasting their time training someone who does have a jd and so will be trying to pass the bar and leave the job soon. If there were any doubt that those were his intentions, that doubt was removed when he specifically sought out legal work.

I mean, if you were saying that you wouldn't have a problem keeping him on, given his situation, that's fine. But your paralegal isn't relevant here, because she isn't in the same position.

didnt read the thread but my opinion is that they realized they wont hire you down the road as an associate and they dont want to waste time in training someone whos not in for the long run

My point was that it isn't uncommon for paralegals to do some legal substantive work. So that could have technically been part of some paralegal training. But I understand the fear of training someone who is bound to leave. Cost of doing business though.

Surgery moved to nov 30 and I will be sitting for the feb bar... Found document review work in the meantime till December

Wondering if I need to disclose getting fired from a two week shitty paralegal job for the C&F?

Sounds like you might have a plausible ADA suit. Particularly if they learned of your health issues after they hired you.

Every state is different but you will almost certainly need to disclose for c and f.

the ADA doesn't apply unless the firm employs 15+. which i doubt

Sounds like maybe you weren't picking up on things as quickly as they hoped. I mean, if you hire someone and figure you will only have them for a year or less, then you say at termination time that you don't want to take two months to train them, I think you're implying that you expected upon hire that the person would learn faster and then later decided the juice wasn't worth the squeeze.

Just reading between the lines, but I'm trying to provide something plausible since your posts indicate that having some notion of the reason(s) may help you with moving on. Besides, the correct answer isn't always, "move on and don't worry about it." We want to know. We want to improve, and not set ourselves up for failure again. So that's my best guess based on that interaction as well as the prior interaction with your supervisor.
