You should email the firms directly to ask exactly how much you have to raise your grades so that they are no longer bound by their gpa guidelines and are allowed to accept you. People here are just going to give you troll answers.

If you're really not getting it runinthefront, I suggest PM'ing DF.

.If this about having an offer and "trading up," sure it's possible.
I have upcoming CBs / am post-CB at a few V50-ish firms. By few I mean can count on one hand. Is that sort of trading up too big of a jump?
I'm not a Sears/Abbott or bust kind of person (obviously). The only reason I mention classes is that they're the only indicators of distinction that can go onto a resume line a year from now. Otherwise, a transcript might show an improvement, but the person reading the transcript wouldn't know what to make of it because most transcripts improve from 1L year. Just some a lot more than others.

No, V50--> V10 is certainly not out of the question.
But again, your goal right now should be getting an offer somewhere, period.

Why would someone want to go through all that trouble just for a slight boost in prestige? What would the firm even look at, 2L grades plus the fact you got an offer?
