When you say "serious", do you mean that you were heavily grilled on your practice interest and firm?

Most of mine were mellow, then the last guy unloaded a barrage of "why" questions which were followed with pointed follow-up questions. Why law; why this practice; why Cadwalader; why this market. Nothing surprising but he hit 'em hard and fast all in a row, and it was more probing than your typical screener.Anonymous User wrote:When you say "serious", do you mean that you were heavily grilled on your practice interest and firm?

Is there a cocktail reception for every set of afternoon interviews? or only on select dates?

Re: Cadwalader Offers
I was an SA at Cadwalader this summer. I wouldn't take that one interview to heart too much. Most of the people at the firm are chill. But there are certainly a few more serious or less appealing personalities. FWIW, the few people that meet this latter description seemed to be in litigation. In fact, I think I can guess who it is you interviewed with. Of course, litigation is filled with some amazing people and some of my favorite people at the firm. So I wouldn't worry too much about that one bad interview, almost all of the people here, including in litigation are awesome.Anonymous User wrote:Most of mine were mellow, then the last guy unloaded a barrage of "why" questions which were followed with pointed follow-up questions. Re: Cadwalader Offers
I should clarify: it wasn't a bad screener at all, just not one I would describe as a casual conversation. Out of curiosity, which office were you?Anonymous User wrote:I was an SA at Cadwalader this summer. I wouldn't take that one interview to heart too much. Most of the people at the firm are chill. Any recent movement for those who interviewed early this week? I guess if last week is any indication, we might expect news either tomorrow or Monday.
