Anyone know if they have a room block booked for accommodations with a convention rate or if we are on our own to find a place to stay?

They said in the materials that there is not a room block reserved - you're on your own for finding accommodations. Plenty of good choices in Chicago though!

Is the competition at ccba lower than the competition at a school's oci?

Anyone know how the selection process worked? Was the lottery based off of employer alternates or was it 100% random?

Re: CCBA Minority Law Fair
Random thought, just in case anyone is in a similar situation to mine last year:
I only got like two interviews from the CCBA job fair, and they weren't from the traditionally most sought after firms. Because of that, I thought I looked bad on paper, and that OCI was going to go badly. I ended up more than just fine.
The point: don't use your "popularity" or lack thereof with CCBA employers as a sign of how well/badly OCI will go.

people from previous years said if you emailed CCBA and asked whether you were pre-selected or lotteried, CCBA would tell you. i tried it this year to no avail. just a heads up :/

Re: CCBA Minority Law Fair
I think it just depends on what you selected. I did a lot of ohio, michigan, wisconsin, and kentucky companies/firms and received the max of 8 interviews. Didnt really focus on chicago firms and wasnt suprised that I didnt get a single one. Anyone know what to expect from as far as them asking for materials? I know some firms prefaced that they want certain items but I find it hard to believe that some dont want transcript. Also, has anyone heard of potential employment prospects resulting from this career fair?

7 interviews. All V50 Chicago. But that could be based off lottery since it's not clear at all. T20 school, Chicago experience.

Felt pretty good about mine but it seems like a pretty competitive fair/group of candidates so who even knows.Anonymous User wrote:so how did everyones interviews go? i thought i did ok but not feeling too confident
Anyone heard back yet? I'm guessing some decisions will start coming this week or next, right?
