Dude, we met in flight school flying jets. It's a better story than Kelly McGillis and Tom Cruise in Top Gun. How many of your couple-friends can say that?
I guess everyone still married can beat it but yeah still pretty romantic
Nah, I'm including the end because *spoiler alert* I'm all Claire Underwood at the end. :D
Well played

We were never going to live together, and I was the one in the position where I could have (more easily) turned my back on my career.
Same anon. Cherry Point sucks anyway, although the annual airshow is nice. Don't get me started on New River.

On the other hand, if he flies Ospreys, he's going to die anyway, and you'd have gotten that sweet SGLI.

p.s. Enlisted Marines make better husband material. :D

I didn't spend my deployments living under a rock. I know what boys do on portcalls. One of them brought back TB from a prostitute while we were in Hong Kong, and the whole carrier (ship's company plus airwing = 5000 folks) had to get tested for six months after coming home from deployment. Sure was awesome.

I think I'll just date some biglaw studs when I get to NYC after this clerkship. No more mil for me.

LOL. To get us back on topic:

In a study called The Fatherhood Bonus & The Motherhood Penalty: Parenthood and the Gender Gap in Pay by Michelle Budig, the study found that for every child a woman has, she sees a 4% decrease in pay, while men see a 6% increase in pay.

I would love to see how women get bonused at non-lockstep firms relative to their billables and looking at their family size.

I've definitely read something that being overweight either doesn't hurt men but really hurts women, or being overweight can help older men but really hurt women.

Regardless fat women are fucked.

all the female partners at my summer firm were frightening in shape. then again one of them wrote a book on how to balance motherhood and a career. turned out that she didn't have kids--she was just trying to be helpful i guess.
