how long between submitting his app and receiving the offer? Did he have to do the 2 rounds of interviews or whatever it is? Just curious about how long the process takes and what all is involved.

Got email for callback - video conference with a panel of people from the hiring committee. Super excited but also nervous - does anybody have experience interviewing w/ them at this stage in the process?

I did a videoconference interview with a panel of 6 attorneys on the hiring committee about a week ago. Thought it went well -- pretty low stress, they were very friendly, spent a lot of time explaining the position and asked pretty softball questions. Left a lot of time for me to ask questions so definitely have several prepared. Good luck!

Thanks for the info! Do you know whether there is another round of interviews after that one or is that it? Good luck to you too!

Has anybody heard anything more? Does anyone have any idea whether there are multiple rounds of interviews after the screener or is it just the video interview and that's it?

Re: Akin Gump Pro Bono Scholars
I got an email from the Dallas office to confirm the submission of my application in late January, but haven't heard anything since. I kind of assumed they already filled the positions, but haven't gotten any actual confirmation about that

DC decisions were made Friday and offers made over the phone. Not sure about the other offices-- it seems like some of the others may have made offers on more of a rolling basis, whereas DC had a hiring committee meeting for final decisions on Fri.

Also - for the person who had questions about the interviewing process, I know DC had over 200 people apply, invited 45 back for the video screeners, and then had around 25 come in for in-person callbacks which consisted of 5-6 25 min interviews with different attorneys in their offices. Everyone was very nice and the interviews were more on the conversational side, but with a few typical "interview" questions thrown in.
