Re: Survey of Job Outcome and Grades compared to LSAT Score
What even is this thread? You know there are, like, genuine studies of how well LSAT scores predict law school grades, right? (Answer: better than other standardized tests, but not enough to predict much about any individual at any given school.)
Unless you have some theory that an LSAT score somehow gets you a job even if your grades are bad, I'm very confused.
EDIT: Reread the OP, so I at least get what you're going for, but you're basically just asking how often people at lower schools get good outcomes. That's what LST is for. The sample is (quite clearly already) going to be unrepresentative.

I think it's a social experiment that appears to be working brilliantlyElston Gunn wrote:What even is this thread? Based on this enlightening survey, it seems I was wrong to advise people with bad LSAT scores to not go to law school.

I'm sure there's a huge selection bias in this thread. No one wants to brag about being unemployed.

Just want to say how easy it would be for LSAC and/or the ABA to compile this information if they cared about the profession half as much as they cared about law school profits.

Yep, if only LSAC compiled this data we would finally know if it's a good idea to go to law school with a 157.

Re: Survey of Job Outcome and Grades compared to LSAT Score
Well, when mental health is considered, it seems like it's not a great idea to go to law school with a 173 either, so don't feel too inadequate. It also (I hope obviously) has nothing to do with anyone's worth as a person. It's just a terrible financial gamble that will likely leave you with regrets, despite all the special snowflakes posting ITT.Anonymous User wrote:This makes me feel inadequate.Elston Gunn wrote:Yep, if only LSAC compiled this data we would finally know if it's a good idea to go to law school with a 157.

Unicorns are awesome, but I gotta be honest with you, but of the folks who are left, there are a lot more like me than there are unicorns. A lot more.

Re: Survey of Job Outcome and Grades compared to LSAT Score
You're the unicorn in any case. People like me (relatively low LSAT, top class rank at a top school, preftigious firm offer) are probably more common....Anonymous User wrote:M&ADE wrote:
