STB is 12 weeks. They seem somewhat open to splitting between offices within the firm (NY/London is a popular option), but less-so with other firms.lhanvt13 wrote:no idea, but for the firms I've heard of, they encourage splitting the summer 6+6 or 8+6.GOATlawman wrote:I noticed this....Why do they do this? In some smaller markets though, there may be a lot of biglaw satellite offices that do 8 weeks max.

Re: Summer Classes 2015 Edition
This is interesting because Cravath has a very low number of YLS students (just two!), yet other V5 firms like S&C and DPW have 15 or more. What is it about Cravath that YLS students don't like?Anonymous User wrote:Cravath Summer Class

It also could be that Cravath does not necessarily want YLS students.parkslope wrote:This is interesting because Cravath has a very low number of YLS students (just two!), yet other V5 firms like S&C and DPW have 15 or more. Re: Summer Classes 2015 Edition
Based on my experience with the Cravath interviewing process and conversations with friends who interviewed there, they seem to care more about how well they think someone would do in big law than they care about academic excellence. Doing well academically is a prerequisite, but it's only a prerequisite, and so it wouldn't surprise me if they just didn't give many offers to Yale students.KD35 wrote:It also could be that Cravath does not necessarily want YLS students.parkslope wrote:This is interesting because Cravath has a very low number of YLS students (just two!), yet other V5 firms like S&C and DPW have 15 or more. Re: Summer Classes 2015 Edition
At least in the case of Cravath, I met a few partners from St. Johns. I could speculate that St. Johns has enough boomers from there to keep it relevant to hire 1 person at the firm a year?mvp99 wrote:what's up with St. Johns sneaking in 1 associate at these firms
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
