OCC is doing callbacks this week. I heard they'll be hiring 4 attorneys this year from my screening interviewer.

So presumably they have already contacted applicants to schedule these callbacks?Anonymous User wrote:OCC is doing callbacks this week. I heard they'll be hiring 4 attorneys this year from my screening interviewer.

Well, this certainly sucks (if true): 1,000 applicants for 4 slotsAnonymous User wrote:OCC is doing callbacks this week. I heard they'll be hiring 4 attorneys this year from my screening interviewer.

Are they extending callbacks this week? Or are they actually having the interviews this week?Anonymous User wrote:OCC is doing callbacks this week. I heard they'll be hiring 4 attorneys this year from my screening interviewer.

My screener also said they were only hiring 4 this year. Said callbacks would go out by early October.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:I asked my OCC screener the same thing and he said it wasn't pretty. Can we get a definition for callbacks ITT? I thought callbacks refer to the interview itself. Not the act of calling back the applicant after a screening interview to set up a second interview.Anonymous User wrote:My screener also said they were only hiring 4 this year. I asked when individuals selected for callback interviews at the headquarters in DC would be notified, my screener said by early October at the latest.

Callbacks are being conducted this week at the OCC. It did screeners at some schools for OCI so callbacks for these people would be second interviews.

Have they extended callbacks to non-screener, email applicants?Anonymous User wrote:Callbacks are being conducted this week at the OCC. It did screeners at some schools for OCI so callbacks for these people would be second interviews.
Also, how do you know they are conducting interviews?
Thanks for the info!

Were the callbacks just for individuals who had a screener?Anonymous User wrote:I know because I have a callback this week and was told others will too.Anonymous User wrote:Have they extended callbacks to non-screener, email applicants?Anonymous User wrote:Callbacks are being conducted this week at the OCC. That's a 1 in 250 odds, which is honestly pretty good odds relative to probably most other legal jobs. I know the job market has improved since I was looking (a few years ago), but back then even $50k /year local prosecutor positions in the middle of nowhere were getting around 200-300 application per job posting (which typically only filled one opening). 1 in 250 for a good federal government agency is pretty great.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:I asked my OCC screener the same thing and he said it wasn't pretty.
