i'm not really complaining, I just think there's a bit of difference between "I liked the shitty Kirkland umbrella" and "I love the market-shattering brownies"cookiejar1 wrote:lol what? are you complaining about someone talking about receiving swag in a thread about receiving swag?sideroxylon wrote: the point was more that you don't need to talk about your callback/offer brownies or cookies (or both)

Only firm I have heard of giving out wine is White & Case. Pretty sure no V10s do this.Anonymous User wrote:-- fancy cookies from weil
-- external battery pack from akin (sucks and doesn't work well)
-- rubber ducks from crowell (definitely the most useless "swag" of them all)
-- bottle of red wine from a v10 after offer (i didn't get this, but someone I know did...guess they're back to pre-recession gifts lol)
Anyway, K&E sends brownies to offerees and Gibson Dunn sends Mrs. Field's cookies.

Debevoise gives out pretty sweet coffee tumblers with $25 Starbucks cards if you get an offer.

uh yeah agreed, if anything, it's more likely that V10s would do this than w&c. i've heard the same about the wine, but that some offerees got a bottle while others didn't at the same firmBr3v wrote:This is hilarious that you would say this.Anonymous User wrote:Only firm I have heard of giving out wine is White & Case. Is it acceptable/not acceptable to use swag on campus (umbrellas, knapsacks). Would anyone use swag of a firm they're not going to? Say, an umbrella?

The rubber ducks are so awful. They're like a horribly uninteresting person's idea of what fun is. The Proskauer tote bag is handy at the farmers market

Multiple backup cell phone battery chargers were good. I have to say though, I've probably gotten the most practical use out of Milbank's branded Tide-To-Go pen.

I guarantee some people talk shit about you for doing this. I also guarantee you're in the right and they're in the wrong, but whatever.Anonymous User wrote:Is it acceptable/not acceptable to use swag on campus (umbrellas, knapsacks).
