the rear wheel isn't following along. the rear wheel is directly connected to the mechanism propelling the bike forward, if one wheel was going to be less necessary it would be the front wheel.2014 wrote:I really like the bicycle question, if I ever get to interview I'm stealing that. I can think of a compelling answer for literally every part except the rear wheel ("I'm just following along for the ride!!!").

An interviewer asked me what was the one thing about myself he should remember when I leave. I felt like that was a pretty good question. Somewhat challenging but not really unfair.

Yeah, I found that to be the toughest question I received in any given interview.Mal Reynolds wrote:An interviewer asked me what was the one thing about myself he should remember when I leave. I felt like that was a pretty good question. Somewhat challenging but not really unfair.

Someone asked me what I would put on the second page of a resume if it were allowed.

Re: Share Best Interview Questions
Are you a K-JD? Because this is one of the more generic interview questions out there, right up there with "why do you want to work here" or "describe a time when you overcame [some difficult work situation]". It may very well be the single most discussed interview question. There are entire articles about it: http://www.forbes.com/sites/jacquelynsm ... interview/. You should have ready answers for those. For this particular one, it is well-established that the answer should be a weakness that actually comes across as a strength (e.g., "I am a perfectionist and it makes it very hard to be satisfied with anything I do" etc.).Anonymous User wrote:Been asked by multiple CB interviewers: What is your biggest weakness?
I really don't know how they expect people to answer this truthfully. Like, I'm not going to tell them that I'm a compulsive masturbator and that it can interfere with my productivity. You almost have to lie to them if you don't want to get dinged.
Anon b/c, well, this would be embarrassing
OF COURSE YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO TELL THE TRUTH. WTF.
All that said, I must admit that in my experience that question is relatively rare for legal interviews since they are normally conducted by lawyers rather than HR/management types who tend to value this sort of vapid corporate culture bullshit. The one time I heard it was precisely from one such person (a middle manager) for an in-house position at a huge conglomerate.

Seems like this thread might be better if we just let people tell stories without lambasting them. And yes I realize that's a pretty dumb "best" interview question.Anonymous User wrote:Are you a K-JD? I actually did this unsolicited during one of my screeners. Fit in nicely with one of my answers. I never had a real shot at the firm and she did. She got the CB. I like to think it was because of meCrowing wrote:That's actually kinda cool. I wouldn't mind doing that.didntretake wrote:At the screener stage I was asked to recommend one of my classmates.

Re: Share Best Interview Questions
I asked an interviewer some generic "culture" question. He replied, "have you seen Shrek? We're like Shrek...onions, that is. We have layers."
Thanks, interviewer. Thanks.
