Someone should (not me) try to correlate revenue drops with layoffs.

My guess it's a very strong correlation.

People who think firms are just inherently "evil" v. "good bros." Latham got fat on work that suddenly disappeared, they had lay offs. When Weil's BK stuff slowed down, they had lay offs.

The only way to avoid it is to go to a firm that will never be slow. That's a very narrow field of firms.
