Re: Midwest secondary markets 2014
Godfrey and Kahn made it sound like they were waiting until after they'd done most of their CBs before extending offers, but, on the chance that they weren't being sincere, has anyone heard if they've started extending offers yet?

Re: Midwest secondary markets 2014
I think I'm set on other markets but have begun to think about Detroit as I was born here. What is market rate for Detroit firms? Congrats on your CB, hopefully you get more!Anonymous User wrote:CBs at all 6 major Detroit and 2 GR firms. One offer at V30 in Chi (awaiting CB/denial on v50). One offer at a Detroit firm, awaiting the status of another CB with Detroit firm, and 4 other CBs to attend over the next 2 weeks.
All via OCI - except for the V30 and V50 i didn't land a screener but talked to the interviewer before they started for the day and snuck into their schedule.

Bodman last 2 years 100%, 5 year 95%; Dickinson is about 99% last 5 years (one bad apple they no offered and it was justified; Foley 100% last 5 years (increasing class size to 10+ next year for detroit, fastest growing most profitable office for Foley); Honigman is 100% last 5 years; Dykema is around 90-95% offer rate for Detroit; Clark Hill i'm not sure about but above 80% (i know of a few people who were no offered but idk why that happened).

Re: Midwest secondary markets 2014
Hey! Thank you for taking the time to reply to that! Sorry I didn't mean offer rate, I meant market rate for salary. Just curious how it compares to the 145k/160k etc. in NYC/Chicago/elsewhere.Anonymous User wrote:jw316 wrote:I think I'm set on other markets but have begun to think about Detroit as I was born here. oops. my bad. Dickinson is 100k, Bodman is 105k, Honigman is 115k (with 5k starting bonus), Foley is 130k (though i heard they were going to 140k), Clark Hill is 110k (i think). not sure where dykema falls
Foley obviously comes in at the top (though Honigman says they have the highest starting that's not the case. I'm not sure where Foley goes after your first year - if it is lock step or what. But 140 starting in Detroit is better than anywhere else in the country.

Re: Midwest secondary markets 2014
I would like to know your source of information as well, because this (mostly the 10 SAs for next summer) does not really fit with what I've heard through talking to people in that office (unless Foley is being tight lipped about it).guinness1547 wrote:Anonymous User wrote:
