Will anyone shed some light on the callback --> offer timeline for Dechert PA?
Also, anyone able to shed some light on % chance of Callback to Offer ratio at Dechert PA?

Who has done a Dechert Philly Callback interview? How did it go? Anything out of the usual?

Dechert Philly CB are very run of the mill compared to all other firm CB. However, the people are great and they do a good job setting you up with interviewers who are not only very down to earth but also are involved with the summer program.

How long did they say it would take for them to make an offer from when your CB was?

Did they speak on how many SA's they are aiming for?

they did not say - i received an offer about 5 days later. i know of people who had an offer on the spot. I would assume they are aiming for approximately 15 in the philly office.

does anyone know when the NYC dinner thing is this week? it was mentioned when i scheduled my CB but i wanted it earlier. i figure they'll meet right before that since they're getting a huge influx of students from that. looks like they met on thursday last week.

1. One day.
2. I got the impression about 18.
3. Wonderful. Extremely relaxed. Everyone was friendly and forthcoming, gave a lot of great information about firm structure, assignments, and culture. Got the impression they weren't BSing me either, hard to explain but that was my gut feeling.
Might be going back for a second look, but I definitely enjoyed the CB more than any other in Philly. Probably will accept offer.

What do you mean? If you're referring to school/rank, that really only matters at the screener stage. CBs have nothing to do with that - pretty much just about personality and fit.

Nah, again they have a particular number in mind for each school at the screener stage only. If you have a CB it means you are already among the number. No need to stress about it at this point.

I'm not sure if that's true. Personality and fit do matter BUT the goal is to get a diverse class and not full of harvard kids. Not to knock Dechert, but they prob know if they interview 5 harvard kids, if they really do not suck, they can offer all of them and will likely only get 1. the goal is to get as much of a diverse class as possible, so the amount that goes through does matter. if they have 10 nyu kids, chances are if they offer all of them I'd dare to say 5 would accept. So they're not gonna offer all of them. they'll want 3 max so they're not going to hire all of them. so yes, you will be competing against others in your school again. but in the sense that you go before the rest, you may have an advantage.
