Turned down K&L offer, declined Buch before they could reach a decision. Best of luck to everyone in this forum! Hope it works out for you all.

Are there any Buchanan Associates/prior summers on the site? I'd love to discuss the firm if anyone's around

I live right near the airport....its wicked far from the actual city (15+ miles). Cab is the best way.

Does anyone know of the specific 1L jobs offered at the large firms in Pittsburgh? Are they mostly/all diversity slots? I grew up in Pittsburgh and I'm looking to return.

^^

Just from my very limited experience, I think that if you are going to a good school (I'm thinking like T20, and especially T14), you should absolutely network and massmail for 1L Big Firm jobs. A friend received a 1L job at one of the big firms in Pitt, and I know that the big ones all have 1Ls in their SA classes. I would definitely apply if you're going to one of these schools. Ties are crucial, but it sounds like you have them.

Forgot to quote, sorry.
