In NYC, I was told that the committee was meeting Thursday afternoon (8/21) and the next meeting would be Tuesday, 8/26.

I don't think the speed reflects the ease with which they dinged you. It was posted that the hiring committee met yesterday, so it makes sense that they'd decide on you then.

Yeah that definitely makes sense. However, the recruiting coordinator told me I wouldn't hear back until sometime next week. But I guess either way, a ding's a ding lol

Yeah I certainly don't feel any better after they left me in limbo for 2 weeks. Be glad you know at least.

Got an offer for NY yesterday (Thursday 8/21) via phone from my OCI interviewer. CB was Wednesday 8/20 in the evening, followed by the reception.

Yup, interviewed Tuesday and haven't heard either way (although I interviewed with the LA office). Seems they are moving a bit slower so far. Not many offers yet out of NY, and I haven't heard/seen a single LA offer on TLS.

Was just told my the director of OCS at my school (who apparently is good friends with the hiring partner), that Milbank LA has yet to have a hiring committee meeting since callbacks began last week.

Have a screener set up in the next few weeks. So yeah, they may be increasing their class size or not impressed with ya'll so far :p

One of the many still waiting to hear back. Maybe I wasn't that impressive, but tbh I wasn't that impressed either. During my CB it felt like the partners and associates I met with kept pointing out negative qualities of the firm. I was really disappointed because I had heard great things about Milbank, and know people who either are going there or work there and they all love it. Did anyone else have a similar experience? It was all very bizarre...
