Do you have ties?

This is me. Apparently LA didn't all go out. Now I have 10. So check again if you haven't checked in a while.

In Miami each firm only has one day (Aug 7) of 20 minute interviews from 9 to 5 (w/ a 1 hour lunch). So that's 21 slots.
Also, I think Gunster had a few more, lasting until 6 or something...

Miami OTIP: Just went from pending to alternate at a firm. Does that mean I won't get an interview unless someone decides they don't want it?

I'm top 1/3 and also "only" got 2 hits for LA. That wasn't surprising for me - have you actually looked at the GPA averages for folks hired at most of the LA OTIP firms?

Top 25%

just put name in for each city to see what would happen. no ties to any of them. no cover letters

LA: 1 interview. (which is irell. i would love to work for them)
SF: 3 preselects. 4 alternates
Hou: 5 preselects. 1 alternate
Dal: 5 preselects 1 alternate

is it worth going to these places without ties? i wouldnt bid on any of these firms through oci, but i am open to working in these cities. plus im terrified and want a job.

About 10% below median, no journal/moot court.

LA: 3
SF: 1
Dallas: 1

Strong ties to one of these cities.

That email confused me too. Doesn't look like signups are actually open at all. I'm going to log in just in case at 12AM EST tonight but I'm sure it was just a mistake email and they'll open as planned at 12PM EST tomorrow.

How long do you think it takes to get a CB from today's SF event?

A couple of interviewers told me it'll be within a week or two. Firm-dependent, of course, but I think there will be some movement later this week. I also think a lot of firms will wait till after schools' OCI cycles too. Best of luck!

Well LA was chill today I guess. Had 5 screeners, they all went well except I thought that Allen Matkins was awkward. Anyone else have thoughts?

Did anybody find out if Dallas firms are going to move quickly after OTIP today? I heard from one firm that "we will do CB's in early September." Da Fuq?
