Department of Labor is reaching out to interviewees for the first round.

I interviewed with the DOL in the 3rd week of August and was told they only do 1 interview. So I'm surprised they're still interviewing now. Something like 1100 applications for 9 positions.

Their deadline isn't usually till the beginning of September. I think they do OCI interviews at some schools during OCI season, and then they interview the mail-in apps from people not in school/at schools where they don't do OCI. So it takes a long time. In the past, they haven't hired until around early December at least.

Really? I was told there were 2 rounds by current DOL government honors attorneys (who were accepted 1-2 years ago), and I was also informed just a few weeks ago that some offices for the regional positions were still finding out whether they had vacancies. As far as I know, they don't extend offers until December or January

I'm currently clerking, and there is an agency to which I am interested in applying. However, I've already accepted an offer at a firm. Does anyone have any thoughts to offer about applying to an honors program after already accepting at a firm? My concern is the agency will reach out to my firm, and I don't want to have to inform the firm about it until I'm further along in the process. At the same time, I am interested in applying, and the only reason I haven't is I'm concerned about creating bad blood at the firm (bird in hand and whatnot).

Interesting. I have no insight, but I've considered this. Any thoughts?

Are you talking about Anonymous User? Every time anyone posts anonymously in this forum, it shows up as "Anonymous User." The posts are by lots of different people, not all by one person.

DOE contact said to expect about 3-4 weeks between a "Referred" status and communication re: interviews.

Interested on other DOE's applicants' stats here. (Top 15%/LR/Top 50 LS/firm experience with coal, wind and gas generator transactions and litigation).

Also does anybody have any idea if FERC is going to participate in an Honors Program this year, or if they will be making their entry level postings around the same times as last year?

Also referred. T20, top 10%, dist ct clerk, no experience with energy law specifically, but LS experience with administrative law, procurement law, etc.
