I looked at last year's thread and it looked like the preselects were posted after COB the Friday before the fair. I called last week and was told they might not be posted until Monday.

Re: BLG Job Fair (2014)
I was wondering if anyone can recall if all of the firms are Boston offices. Would it be okay to reach out to another office of a firm that is participating?
ps: no luck yet

I think some were interviewing for other offices in addition to Boston, but I can't remember any specific firms.Anonymous User wrote:I was wondering if anyone can recall if all of the firms are Boston offices. Would it be okay to reach out to another office of a firm that is participating?

Also, I doubt we're getting preselects at this point. Looks like we're waiting until Monday!

I just emailed them. My OCI bids close today and I am not allowed to have any duplicate interviews so I really need to know. Hope to hear soon!

Same here, that's why I want to call BLG so I can then email/call my OCS if I need to override a preselect/alternate that I accepted. Hopefully they'll be out soon...pompoms wrote:I just emailed them. My OCI bids close today and I am not allowed to have any duplicate interviews so I really need to know. Hope to hear soon!

This has been really bad. Especially considering that the FAQ said that those NOT selected for interviews would hear nothing on the 25th and would be notified on the 28th. If not for this forum I would be pulling my hair out.

There's no way every student on TLS registered for BLG was not selected for interviews...right?marbellie wrote:This has been really bad. Maybe it's a manual process? It seems like it took 2 days or so for them to reject/approve resume/transcript info.
Also, I doubt everyone has been rejected...

Sorry for the double post, just noticed this. FWIW, I was never informed if my resume/transcript was approved or rejected but I know my materials were approved since I got the Foley Lardner self-id email.mommalee wrote:Maybe it's a manual process? Same boat, shadow, and I had a panic attack about never having received that approval email last week and contacted the office. They told me I was eligible for the fair and my materials had been approved despite my not receiving that email. I also received the F&L and Wilmer Self-ID emails.shadowofjazz wrote:Sorry for the double post, just noticed this. I made a mistake on my identification, put 1L instead of 2L. So I got a rejection email at first, but was able to make the change. Apparently the absence of the rejection was the acceptance as I never got a confirmation email after I fixed things.pompoms wrote:Same boat, shadow, and I had a panic attack about never having received that approval email last week and contacted the office. In your defense, they had status as of a Fall 2013 up until 2 days before the deadline. I had 1L and switched it the day of.mommalee wrote:I made a mistake on my identification, put 1L instead of 2L. Just got off the phone. BLG said one employer is late with picks (still hasn't gotten them in), but that we will get schedules in any case later today.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
