That's true. But with my hit rate with job/internship applications, I have slowly and painfully resigned to putting the "wanting to practice law dream" in the same pile as I put my dream of wanting to be an NBA player when I was 7 haha.

I am sure it went ok!! Is it a technical interview? Are they asking questions about the substance of the law?

If anyone has done the Citi phone interview, would you be willing to share the gist of the interview? How does this interview vary from a typical lawl job interview?

This is probably not the best place to look for this advice since everyone here is trying to get the job, and they only seem interested in hiring 8 or so people.

It was very basic. Tell me about yourself -> why compliance -> why Citi -> what separates you from the other candidates.

That was not what I was asked. In certain ways yes, but I got more open-ended questions.

I have my phone interview this afternoon, the amount of people on TLS with interviews isn't the most reassuring. It does seem like the process will be very drawn out, aside from hearing quickly about the in person interview.

It's not the worst screener odds in the world though. Tops they did phone interviews with 100 people. They will have a final class of around 8 probably. I've seen law firm gigs where they interview 100 people at different law schools for one full-time associate position. Based on my research, most of the people on linkedin who did this program went to NYLS, worked at FINRA and/or did their Securities Arbitration Clinic.

I have heard the class will likely be around 5-6 people. I suppose everyone will know soon enough whether or not they receive an follow-up interview.

I never checked my application to see if the stage said "Invite to Interview" but I did notice that now it says "Under Review". Has anyone noticed a change or heard back?

I don't have that change. But I also don't think my interview went as well as it could have.

I previously posted this. It may be that mine has always said this and was never changed to begin with. I haven't heard anything back after the phone interview.

Does anybody have a link to where you can apply for this program? Never heard anything before. Granted, it may be too late now...

It's on the citi campus recruiting website, but considering they had over 600 applicants in January already, which they narrowed to phone interviewees through a formalized process, I doubt they are still taking applications.

Same for me! My phone interview ended up being on one of the "if needed" days so I am guessing they are a couple days behind.

How are they so behind when they are supposed to have in-person interviews early next week? People need time to make travel plans.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
