This has to be the worst poll response in TLS history. I assume there are a bunch of people responding who have no idea how things work at HYS. Cum Laude is better than secondary journal by a mile. You can literally walk onto 5 different secondary journals if you want next week at HYS. There is no writing comp for secondary journals. Cum Laude HYS grads get multiple offers from firms that only even grant interviews to Magna or Summa at schools outside the top 25 or so.
This question is so bad that I seriously question whether OP actually attends HYS.
