Re: Grade Drops
I went from somewhere in between top 5-10% after 1L at a T10 to top third at graduation and had no problem. Also, I did better 3L than 2L so the grade drop would look even more extreme when the offer decision came up.
I have no idea if my transcript even got checked

Re: Grade Drops
Maybe it's just a Penn thing, but I thought every top lawl skool gives no fucks whether upper-level professors follow the 1L curve (though some individual ones choose to do so anyway, usually for the doctrinal classes like admin and pro rep).Anonymous User wrote:Any anecdotal evidence as to tolerable grade drops for 2L at T20 would be appreciated. I'm SAing next summer with a V50 in a secondary market. I was at median (~3.3X). If I keep 2L grades above 3.0, I should be okay, right?

Re: Grade Drops
At Georgetown there's still a "mandatory" curve for doctrinal classes above a certain size, but I believe professors have wiggle room on the margins if they want to hand out an extra few A's or A-'s.HeavenWood wrote:Maybe it's just a Penn thing, but I thought every top lawl skool gives no fucks whether upper-level professors follow the 1L curve (though some individual ones choose to do so anyway, usually for the doctrinal classes like admin and pro rep).Anonymous User wrote:Any anecdotal evidence as to tolerable grade drops for 2L at T20 would be appreciated. How much does 1 below median grade screw you if you had 0 1L year, and your firm doesn't have a 100% offer rate?

It's game over. One the bar examiners find out a law school grade dropped you'll never be able to get sworn in anyway.Anonymous User wrote:How much does 1 below median grade screw you if you had 0 1L year, and your firm doesn't have a 100% offer rate?
