Katten Chicago former summer, really liked my experience, I can answer any questions that anyone has beside specific hiring timeline questions

What was the offer situation this year?

I have not spoken to enough people to accurately answer this. Everyone I have talked to, however, did receive an offer.

approximately how many people is that?

I guess I just want to know what you enjoyed about your summer and what you didn't like as much.

I have only spoken to about 5 of the summers since the summer has been over.

I guess I just want to know what you enjoyed about your summer and what you didn't like as much.

I really liked most all of the people.
I did a mix of work across a number of the transactional departments.
The last would out me a little too much.

I really enjoyed my summer a lot. For the most part, the work was real and not made-up summer stuff. Katten has a great mix of clients, big institutional types and smaller types, so there is a variety of work for people to do at different levels within the firm.

The events and the people were really great. We had a lot of freedom to create the summer experience that we wanted (as far as meeting people, getting involved in different work, and getting/turning down projects that we wanted to take/avoid). We did work fairly hard at certain points (ie stayed late a couple times, worked on the weekend maybe once), but it helped us to get integrated into the firm much more than some of my friends at other firms.

Any tips/thoughts from those who have done Katten NY CBs? Mine is coming up within the next 10 days. Any advice would be welcomed.
