Re: WUSTL OCI
Checking in on this forum continually reminds me what a joke our OCI has been. I had 8 screeners with firms and only 1 has responded either way (some in Minny). And with regards to large firms, almost none came.
But to be relevant to the thread, cb at Frost.

I'm pretty sure Ice Miller is done calling people back. I'm glad to hear the firms have been silent for everyone else, hopefully they're just taking their time this year.

Re: WUSTL OCI
It's definitely a bit of feast or famine at WUSTL, with the 100% preselect. But we still got a rather large number of firms. And as far as large firms go - from the V20, the only firms that we didn't get to interview with, between EIW and our off campus programs, was Wachtell, Latham, Debevoise, Boise Schiller, William Connolly, and Quinn. That's 14 of the V20 (16 of the top 22) that interviewed either at OCI or the off campus programs. We didn't get much from Minnesota or Wisconsin, but most of the big Chicago firms came, except for Mayer Brown. We had most of the Texas firms. Not much representation from California, the south, or Boston, but that's not shocking given our location.Anonymous User wrote:Checking in on this forum continually reminds me what a joke our OCI has been. Obviously the 100% preselect means that if you don't have good grades, our OCI isn't going to be the most helpful, but everyone should have known that coming in. Yes, if your compare our OCI to the T14 or the T18, we don't do great - but outside of that, I doubt anyone else has as much national reach with big firms as we do through our interview programs. Our problem has always been that Missouri biglaw is tiny, St Louis biglaw is tiny. But honestly, what firms do you think should have been at our OCI that weren't (including the off campus programs, which you should have participated in).

I've had call backs at Polsinelli, Husch, Greensfelder, Thompson Coburn, and Bryan Cave, all for STL offices.

It's 100% pre-select now? That's too bad, when I did OCI in 2010, WUSTL had a 2/3 preselect, 1/3 blind system in place.

It's some version of lottery/CSO-select for alternate spots but otherwise all preselect.Total Litigator wrote:Randomnumbers wrote:It's definitely a bit of feast or famine at WUSTL, with the 100% preselect.
