Re: SA • Offer Status
I had pretty much the earliest big law start date (week before memorial day) that I knew of and I'm not ending until 8/2... Which firms started early may? I'm asking because we had people arrive 2-3 weeks late from Stanford and Chicago already... That said indications are that they intend to keep 100% offer rate but still a bit jittery while I don't know for sure.

I do not know of anyone (at my firm or friends) that has been offered or no-offered. Almost without exception everyone I know is anxious but upbeat about their offer chances.

I imagine that from time to time SAs receive an unexpected surprise, sometimes good, and sometime not.Anonymous User wrote:The guy at my firm who got no offer pwned was upbeat too.Anonymous User wrote:I do not know of anyone (at my firm or friends) that has been offered or no-offered. There were warning signs, but only really notice them after the fact. Getting nitpicky reviews.Summerz wrote:I imagine that from time to time SAs receive an unexpected surprise, sometimes good, and sometime not.Anonymous User wrote:The guy at my firm who got no offer pwned was upbeat too.Anonymous User wrote:I do not know of anyone (at my firm or friends) that has been offered or no-offered. I'm not trying to be weird, but how do you even know what went on in someone else's reviews? Did the guy walk around and shout it, or how did this come about?

We talked about it. He complained they kept bringing up one minor mistake over and over again in his midsummer review.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:There were warning signs, but only really notice them after the fact. Was it really minor? Do you think he might have rubbed someone the wrong way? From what I've heard and read, it seems that a truly minor mistake wouldn't be a big enough deal to no offer someone. Maybe I've been misinformed.

It sounds like it was either budgetary or they never intended to offer everyone from the outset of the summer.

This was my point, it was obliviously pretext. They nit picked because they didn't like the person.dixiecupdrinking wrote:Sounds like a pretext.alicrimson wrote:Was it really minor? Isn’t it getting close to the time when offers are due?
