Do diversity fairs if you can. Be wiling to book tickets to fly out and interview even if you only get one screener.
Get good at interviews. Come up with stories to tell, and try to make your responses in the form of a story.
Try to get access to bidding ranges from other schools, and figure out where you fall into.
