For those 2Ls that received offers (from the DC office), how long did it take to back from them after your phone interview?

Had an interview for the DC office yesterday. Seems like most people who interview get offers. Anyone out there get an interview but not an offer?

For the former SECers if you had to chose between Div of Investment Managment, Trading and Markets or Div of Enforcemnt which would you pick and why?

I would pick IM. Lots of compliance work at the large number of firms that do investment management. Also, lots of future opportunities with the new IA registratio.Anonymous User wrote:For the former SECers if you had to chose between Div of Investment Managment, Trading and Markets or Div of Enforcemnt which would you pick and why?

Deifnitely late to get back to the party here. When I was in Enforcement over the summer IM was always talked about with the attorneys. It seemed pretty interesting, but we really only sat in on a couple lunch hour sessions via video where they discussed what they do, so I'm not fully qualified to talk about it.Anonymous User wrote:For the former SECers if you had to chose between Div of Investment Managment, Trading and Markets or Div of Enforcemnt which would you pick and why?
My experience in Enforcement was awesome. I guess with some people it is hit or miss. I was the only 1L, but got really interesting projects and received excellent litigation experience. Definitely comparable experience with working in a firm I'd say.
As a 1L, it definitely helped with OCI's and securing a spot this summer. I am at TT in top 15%, and probably would not have gotten the firm gig if not for SEC internship. As a 2L, well, again I'm not qualified to talk about it. But I can't imagine it hurts, and if no firm or judicial internship it is the next best thing.
