CB last Tuesday. Ding email tonight. Unfortunate, as I liked them more than the firms at which I have offers.

This has been asked 1 million times, but is the general consensus that a thank you note is not necessary after a callback interview? I'm worried that it might hurt my chances if I don't send one.

I worked at a NYC firm this summer and asked about thank you notes at a firm dinner. everyone I talked to said they came off as corny and even personalized ones were seen as transparent brownnosing

I am in pretty much the same situation, just not sure how long to take to accept. Suggestions? I was planning on waiting till Thursday (one week from their offer). How long do most people wait, or do people wait at all?

OP here.

Depends on what else you have going on, in terms of callbacks, waiting for offers, etc.

I didn't have any other offers and lots of callbacks scheduled, but I slowly started to cancel them as they came up, realizing I wouldn't pick them over Deb. It ended up being about 2.5 weeks from offer to acceptance for me.
