Debating between top 12% (actual rank) vs. actual number/total number of students vs. top 15%
Would top 12% be too tacky? Would putting actual number/ total number of students require too much math during a quick glance of a resume? top 15% not giving myself enough credit? or who cares about the difference between top 12% and top 15%? Question might sound neurotic but I'm at a TT with a pretty large class and trying to give myself every advantage possible even if it is negligible.

If you are between rankings, then put the range. So for instance:
Fancypants Law School, 3.222 (Top 10%: 3.295, top 15%: 3.185).
That way, they can draw their own conclusions without you having to state something weird like top 12%.
