How do transfers tend to fair at GW OCI?

I was just accepted yesterday. I'm transferring from a lower T2 so I assume my options will be much better here.

How many firms just didn't get back with you with a rejection/callback?

Thanks, modified it for now. Will update with the rest of the stuff when it comes to that time.

Market(s): DC (Gov. Ks); NY (no ties); LA (strong ties)
Approximate class rank (GW/Thurgood/Median): GW (lower end)
Law review (Y/N): not available yet
Work experience (Y/N): Yes, 2 and 1/2 years WE, but nothing special - mostly government work; doing judicial internship this summer
IP background (Y/N): No
Anything else that might have an impact? (diversity, etc. or whatever, really): No, not really.

Applying to the lower DC firms, especially ones with Gov K practices. Also, do I have a shot at Arnold & Porter (NY)? Linklaters (NY)? Kaye Scholer (NY?) WilmerHale (DC)? Also is it a complete waste of a bid to apply to one of the government positions even if you really want it?
no shot at listed firms whatsoever. stick with ur first plan -> lower DC firms with gov. Ks.
Thanks dood. That helps me narrow my list. What about gov. positions? US GAO, JAG, etc.?

Dreamcatcher.
not sure, i only did firms, but u should look at lower nalp 250 firms like maybe weily, dickstein, fox rothschild, mckenna, crowell, dykema, drinker, etc - some of those might even be a stretch, but i would also direct mail ALL firms with gov. K practices and CLEARLY indicating how much u love gov Ks + ANY possible relevant gov work + gov K journal?

I did end up getting Gov K Journal. Interning at Court of Federal Claims in the fall. Worked in government/regulatory area before law school but it was in an unrelated area so not sure how much help it will be. Judicial internship this summer. I know it will be tough, but crossing my fingers and bidding hometown market as well.

Dreamcatcher.

To "Jack":

If you are IP and you have the very helpful kind of degree (mechanical or electrical) and legit WE (e.g., worked at Qualcomm, Motorola, AMD, or at USPTO) you should actually feel pretty good about getting initial screeners.

IP folks tend to do fairly well if they have the minimum grades of at least Thurgood.

Anyone else love how the info in the GW FRP packet is beyond useless? Specifically the firm numbers. At a glance it looks good, but they only give you the No. of Bids/No. of Interviews. No info on CBs or offers. You know this is by choice, too, since I know of folks at other schools who have this information. Believe it or not, I'm much more interested in the CB/offer rate than the bid/pre-select rate.

TL; DR: Anyone know where to find GW OCI's CB/Offer numbers?

They don't exist. School doesn't track this information.

Wow. Really no excuse not to. We're already a year in, why not show us the grim stats? Because they might fall into the hands of 0Ls I guess...
