Re: SFIPLA Fair 2012
Has anybody found out whether they have interviews or not? I read the letter which said July 2 is the last day for employers to make selections, but how do we find out? Simplicity is different than plip. Anybody know anything?

Come on, somebody has got to be wondering the same thing or somebody went in the past. Any ideas?

Pretty sure all interview selection results will come out at the same time, probably very soon after the 2nd. Check past sfipla threads, you'll see some of the relevant discussion.

A total slots column just appeared. Does anyone know what this refers to? Either way, based on previous years threads it seems results were released soon after.

Re: SFIPLA Fair 2012
From past threads it seems that "total slots" indicates the number of slots left after allocation of selections. So if all your firms have 0 slots it just means they filled all of theirs. All of the tech background requiring firms have slots left over.

Ah, thank you. That makes much more sense. I was under the impression that the firms withdrew.piccolittle wrote: From past threads it seems that "total slots" indicates the number of slots left after allocation of selections. On a side note, my neighbor's cat looks like your avatar except he makes his hat out of stuff in my recycle bin.

Hey everyone, I coincidentally emailed them yesterday without checking the thread. They told me they expect to have it all posted on the 5th

If you dont have any places to accept a bid on your page, I guess that means you struck out?
?
Just curious to confirm...if possible.
Thanks.

I mean, I'm pretty sure they haven't released selections yet... If they have, I'm also out.

Thanks! Yeah it seems that nothing happened, so I guess it won't be today. Probably Monday is my guess.

According to the email, interview schedules will be available tomorrow. Are we thinking it means midnight tonight or sometime during business hours tomorrow?

Re: SFIPLA Fair 2012
I have the same firm scheduled for both SFIPLA and Loyola - any suggestions on how to cancel one of the interviews?
ETA: ended up emailing Loyola and they cancelled it there, that way it would go to an alternate. Apparently they've got no problem with cancelling interviews after the deadline?

Is there anything analogous to the Hospitality Suites at Loyola, i.e. is it possible to give your resume to firms that didn't invite you to interview?fl0w wrote:I went last year. Got a couple of callbacks out of it.
Post more specific questions that you'd like answers to and I can try.

I think most firms ask you not to do this.DildaMan wrote:Don't some firms allow double dipping?yuzu wrote:I have the same firm scheduled for both SFIPLA and Loyola - any suggestions on how to cancel one of the interviews?

Re: SFIPLA Fair 2012
does anyone know if this fair was preselect or lottery based?
Also, it seems that the "Total Slots" category gets updated, because there's certain firms that used to have 0 and now I'm seeing 1 or some other number, anyone else notice this or am i just going insane. Kinda interesting how a lot of firms show only 1...
