Re: Too Late to Hustle More Interviews?
Which email/phone number should I follow-up with if I haven't heard back from them yet after mass-mailing? The generic recruiting@blahblah.com address/number?

Re: Too Late to Hustle More Interviews?
Just want to reiterate the point that's its not too late to hustle some more. As a result of some mailing and networking in the past 2 weeks, I ended up with CBs at Jones Day and Baker Botts, and screeners with Kirkland, clifford chance and Alston & Bird. Just keep following up, work your contacts, etc.

I followed up the end of last week and it's resulted in 5 rejections so far. A couple were a direct reply to my e-mail. Not ideal, but at least it's something.Anonymous User wrote:just followed up via e-mail to every firm that i havent gotten a response from when i mass mailed. expecting silence.

Re: Too Late to Hustle More Interviews?
Thread OP here: I followed some of this advice, e-mailed a large number of firms to follow up, and have received nothing but rejections. Perhaps I should have made phone calls too, but oh well! I hope this thread helps out others who are looking to wrangle some late options, or the future classes of TLS stalkers who need advice as they go through 2L SA applications. Still no offers here, still waiting on the same four firms.

IMO it is, as of today, now too late.

Re: Too Late to Hustle More Interviews?
Again, I just don't think this is true. I'm forwarding my resume to some contacts I've made, and pretty much bluntly asking if they can make a last-ditch effort to get me an interview. Sometimes they say they will go for it, and I get a call from recruiting within 20 minutes. This happened multiple times in the past week. And this is just for screening interviews. Don't think that firms are done. If big firms are still willing to do screeners in late September, the gates aren't as closed as people think.Anonymous User wrote:IMO it is, as of today, now too late.

Time to focus on having a great 2L year and enhancing your prospects of clerking and twerking (the gunner's answer to models and bottles). No seriously, I know from personal experience that it is not too late for you. You'll just find that 98% of the firms you write to won't interview you. But 2% of some insane number can be enough firms to get you a job.
