Nope. It will simply stay at "application received." However, if interview notices go out and you don't receive one, then it means you've been rejected.

Any other status changes on avue?

Yes, "Not EOIR" is EXTREMELY helpful.

Not to be morbid, but I really did wish there was a "Reject" status as opposed to waiting around FOOOOOREEEEEVER. I've basically lost all semblance of a normal personality.

Apparently the DOJ called my references this week, has anyone else heard the same?

For Honors? That sounds odd. From what I have heard about past practices, the DOJ typically calls references right before they make offers.

I was surprised as well, but I've heard from two of my references who they called. Apparently, they said that they have such limited resources to bring people out for interviews this year that they wanted to call references ahead of time to narrow the interview pool.

Are you the same person that initially reported having references called? Or someone new? I think the expectation is that interview notices will go out next week.
