How long after the callback did they call you with the offer?

what was your CB-> offer timeline?Anonymous User wrote:Hey all of you people who got an offer in SF who have posted in this thread, are you guys heavily considering them? I got offer too and think Quinn is my favorite so far. Anyone else have thoughts?

Next day.

the most substantial tip i can give: express an interest in patent litigation, or at least willingness. its apparently a touchy issue because some folks want to avoid patent litigation, but get assigned to it anyway. if you want to do patent litigation from the start you will have a leg up.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:what was your CB-> offer timeline?Anonymous User wrote:Hey all of you people who got an offer in SF who have posted in this thread, are you guys heavily considering them? omg, how many offers have been made from the SF office?
i count about 3-4 just from this thread.
i have a CB soon, which i got from mass mailing. things don't look too good for me...
anyways, care to share some tips about interviewing at SF office?
No kidding. I'm one of the guys who got an offer and can verify it looks like at least 3 this year (one said last year). NALP said they had 12 spots last summer and I was told all got offers this summer, dunno how many. Anyone know their yield?Anonymous User wrote: omg, how many offers have been made from the SF office?
Another tip: the office is BASICALLY 1/2 IP lit and 1/2 white collar criminal defense. The associates do work with the other offices so do other stuff, but that's what the SF partners mostly do. Just a nice piece of knowledge to have going in.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:what was your CB-> offer timeline?Anonymous User wrote:Hey all of you people who got an offer in SF who have posted in this thread, are you guys heavily considering them? They also gave at least 6 SF callbacks at Stanford.Anonymous User wrote:Interesting. I know they gave like 5 callbacks for the SF alone from Chicago.

People who get offers at Quinn also get offers at some of the other elite litigation firms. They aren't all going to accept, though some might split.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:They also gave at least 6 SF callbacks at Stanford.Anonymous User wrote:Interesting. 5 from Chicago, 6 from Stanford, and God knows what else

I am looking to do IP lit in the SF Bay Area. I interviewed with several firms that have strong IP lit practice groups. I went into my callbacks with the assumption that Quinn required longer hours than everywhere else.Anonymous User wrote:Folks that got offers from SF:
Do you guys feel Quinn requires longer hours, as many have said?
Did interviewers ask/hint about this? If so, how would you respond?
interviewers did not/hint ask about this. the only thing close I would think is when they described big/important trials they were working on. I imagine that kind of work goes hand-in-hand with long hours and they are probably looking for candidates that would be excited/motivated by that stuff (someone that doesn't mind putting in extra hours to work on a very prestigious/cutting edge case).Anonymous User wrote:Folks that got offers from SF:
