I like to think that this has to be the case, that they make immediate callbacks for the surefire candidates with amazing grades, awesome WE, or something else that makes them stand out. But that they need a bit more time to consider and discuss other candidates who are not such sure things for CB's, with those calls being made perhaps a few days later.Anonymous User wrote:I honestly think NYC might be making two rounds of CBs this year. The only people I know rocking it in NYC have amazing grades.

That's just weird.
Cornell here, 3.2 (bottom 30%), 7 callbacks (NYC 5 + Boston 2) out of 21. And I am not really an interview champion. Not a URM, and no LR. I thought that the firms are really hiring this year.

The only way a Duke --> Penn transfer is acceptable is if you want to work in Philly and really want to sell your commitment to Philly.

lulz.
I'm in the same position. Pretty much bid heavily on NY. More than 20 interviews. Felt I rocked all my interviews but I've only got one CB from a v10. Dinged at 4 firms but the rest...just radio silence.
OCI is unnerving, indeed.

Right, but are you a transfer?Anonymous User wrote:That's just weird.

The point is that transfer OCI is hard to predict. Normally this is because they might not know/respect your old school, but it might (in this case) be thanks to inter-T-14 transfer weirdness.

When did those 5 NYC CBs happen. The day after when everyone got them or later? Cornell started OCI much earlier than everyone else.Anonymous User wrote:That's just weird.

The day after the initial round in most cases. One firm contacted me two days after the initial interview. I don't know when the others got callbacks.Desert Fox wrote:When did those 5 NYC CBs happen. We did have at least 1 of those. But I definitely wouldn't call NYU a "much higher T14."rayiner wrote:Northwestern to NYU?somewhatwayward wrote:OP's at NYU; you can tell by the dates of the interviewsZ3RO wrote:Next guess is Cornell to Columbia.

You're probably an interviewing champion and don't know it.Anonymous User wrote:That's just weird.

But some people would. And people like that would do terribly in interviews. See e.g. OP.Holly Golightly wrote:We did have at least 1 of those. Did he/she piss you off cause you are lighting them up. It's very funny but I think I never want to get on your bad side.rayiner wrote:But some people would.
