Got an offer this afternoon by phone message!

CB was on Monday of this week.

The partner invited me to join for the summer, and wished me well in weathering out the storm here in NYC this weekend.

Stats?

Transfer student, so not too sure where stats come in. At old school, top 1%. No journal at CLS.

I think it ultimately boiled down to being relaxed, confident, and having intelligent questions.

I did tell the recruiter that took me around that I was very excited about the firm, that it was at the top of my list because of XYZ, and that as soon as I got the CB invitation, I booked the first available slot. (This was the truth.)

Also, one of the partners I met with had to interrupt the conversation for an emergency, so half of that interview was with his secretary...pays to be nice to everyone!

Those of you that have received dpw offers:

would one of you mind logging into the site where you scheduled your callback interview, clicking on the "application" tab, and then posting your status? My four interviewers are listed there, but my applicant status remains at "Applicant Self-Schedule." Thanks a ton!

Man every time this is bumped I think people are hearing back again. Looks like calls to the the whole Wednesday and after crowd from last week still haven't started though right?

SAME HERE. numbers solid, but interviews so-so. Knowing emphasis on fit, not keeping my hopes high, AT ALL.

Does DPW typically take longer to make decisions than other firms? I saw that one person in the CLS thread received an offer after waiting a week and a day, but I can't imagine that the chances of an offer are very high once it has been over a week since the cb interview.

this really sucks. i really liked dpw alot, too.

im the poster that just asked about how long dpw takes. Im not shocked that theyve turned things around in 3 days in the past, as I know people that have gotten word even faster than that.

that said, it seems like a ton of qualified people that interviewed this past week (myself included) are still awaiting decisions.

I think it also depends on which day of the week your cb was. Monday and Tuesday folks tend to hear sooner.

not on my end. given the number of folks w/ strong creds that seem to still be waiting on DPW, i wonder if they're waiting to get a better sense of the broader applicant pool before making many more offers.
