From the weekend that just passed? If so, is it safe to assume no offer from this weekend means a ding is on it's way?Anonymous User wrote:I know at least one offer has gone out from the LA weekend interview.Anonymous User wrote:Has anyone interviewed in the LA office and heard back yet?

I had a callback last week and haven't heard back yet, hopefully not a ding! Would you mind telling me if you sent thank you letters afterwards to each attorney that you met there?

Was told last week that the HC would meet over the weekend, but with the MTA shutdown I'm assuming the meeting is being pushed possibly as far back as next weekend. Or it's already happened and we're all screwed.

Thanks for the heads up! I didn't send thank you letters either, but I haven't gotten a rejection or offer yet so there may still be hope! If you don't mind me asking, did you interview with more attorneys from the corporate side or litigation?

You mean the NYC HC wouldn't meet until the 10th? With the storm being fairly minor and given how fast NYC moves, that seems very strange. Has anyone contacted them?Anonymous User wrote:Was told last week that the HC would meet over the weekend, but with the MTA shutdown I'm assuming the meeting is being pushed possibly as far back as next weekend. Re: Proskauer
Does anyone have thoughts on Proskauer in the West Coast market, as compared to V10 firms? Are the differences in rankings/prestige enough to have any real effect on exit options, assuming that partner is difficult to make at either firm and thus one probably wouldn't stay at either indefinitely? This is with the assumption that Proskauer has a couple of points that weigh more heavily in its favor, like great people or location, etc.

If you get dinged, don't feel bad, it's probably for the best. Anecdotal, but I've heard people say that it's an unfriendly firm culture. Biglaw hours+unfriendliness=souldestroying.
