If you liked LRW, you're probably fine. You'll spend a substantial amount of your time doing similar tasks in a lot of legal positions. Really, I don't think you have much to worry about.

there aren't any causes that i care about. i don't want to help people... i'm not interested in money, prestige, etc. - i'm interested in being happy and i'm definitely not happy in law school.

WTF makes you happy?

Your question is legitimate but I'm curious, what do people like you get up in the morning for?

OP here. WELL, lots of things used to make me happy before law school added a tinge of bitterness/stress/mental preoccupation to everything. Not sure how this is really relevant, but three things that make me happy are: (1) tea, (2) exercise, and (3) stuffed animals.

As to the comment above about LRW - yes, LRW - though I hated the *ultra time-sink* portions of the class (i.e. pedantic citation exercises, worthless research treasure hunts, you get the picture), I really enjoyed the memo-writing portions of the class. I probably spent a bit too much time on those memos, actually, because I enjoyed them so much. It probably affected my performance in a substantive class... I'm looking at you, CivPro.
