For those waiting on Winston, is it your top choice or basically your last chance at an offer?

I'd take it over the other firm that is holding (likely means reject) but yeah, this is basically my last shot through EIP.

Fuck Winston, I know, but does that apply to the NYC office as opposed to Chicago?

I think the no offers from a few years back only occurred in the Chicago office. And yes, I know fuck winston, but at least the last couple years they have been back to 100% and would assume they would continue to be as long as the economy is good. They can't take another round of bad PR

Re: Winston & Strawn New York
I think this probably correct. As a summer this year they provided us info emphasizing that they planned to make 95-100% offers, that they were expanding the number of summers next year, and just generally emphasizing the importance of the summer program. With the laterals from Pillsbury and record revenue numbers they seem to understand that things are headed in a good direction and that no offering people in 2012 negatively affected their reputation with law students and they want to step away from that.Anonymous User wrote:I think the no offers from a few years back only occurred in the Chicago office.
