Does it sound like firms have everyone who interviewed in a pool, and then decide CB/reject/WL after that? If I interviewed on the same day as someone who got an offer, does that mean that I got rejected, or is there still hope?

I am guessing it means you are rejected (or possibly in the "hold category" - if one exists). This isn't a hard and fast rule and will vary by firm I am sure. But as someone who interviewed around the same time as one of these Winston candidates, I am almost positive it means I am dinged. Time for me to start investigating other possibilities (i.e. /self)
