If you are comfortable with that, please send. Just curious since I have some special circumstances myself.Anonymous User wrote:Yes, via PM. No CBs yet. I go to CLS, probably in top 40%.

Dude, you need to mail. I am probably top 60% at CLS, and I snagged a few CBs just from mailing. Seriously, you need to do it.

Re: No CB?
E-mailing the recruiter listed on the NALP directory is fine, right? There is no advantage to sending physical mail?

I mailed a few listed on the NALP forms, got initial interviews, no CBs. I'm going to try mailing smaller firms, maybe I'll have more luck.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:No CBs yet. I go to CLS, probably in top 40%.

Anonymous User wrote:Are you talking about mailing v100s or mailing smaller firms? I'm outside top 1/3 at MVP and haven't had much luck mailing v100s in NYC. (Maybe my grades aren't good enough? Although I do have callbacks in NYC...) However, I have had some success mailing smaller firms.Anonymous User wrote:Anonymous User wrote:No CBs yet. I go to CLS, probably in top 40%.

Do you guys have any tips on mailing smaller firms? (Where can I find ones with SA programs?) Or do you just flood NALP firms? Most of the ones I mailed earlier don't even have SAs. (I realized this after getting a ton of snail mail stating so.)
I'm talking about mailing firms outside the V100 through NALP searches. I don't flood them--I pick regions to which I have a connection and send tailored cover letters.

E-mail smaller firms in secondary mkts. That is what I was doing.
