I know for certain there was one on Tuesday. I also heard someone mumble something about a dinner today (Weds) - but I might be wrong.

Skadden, Proskauer, Hughes Hubbard did their CBs. I know a handful of other firms did as well, but I forget them off the top of my head because I didn't bid on them.

Quinn Emmanuel had a dinner tonight 8/25
Gibson Dunn had a dinner tonight 8/25 and yesterday 8/24

It's only day 3. Yes, some firms gave their cbs already but a lot of firms did not! We can panic in 2 weeks.

Slightly above, quite worried - silence so far except email Jones Day NY ding. Primarily NY. Is anybody else really disappointed in the number of NY firms for those around median to target? Even if this were the 2006 hiring model, it seems we would be in big trouble - only like, 1 or 2 median/sub-median-in-the-glory-days firms are participating.

I'm pretty sure 90% of the firms I've bid on that are in NY around median haven't done any cbs yet. For ex: Kramel, Schiff Hardin, Baker & Hostetler, Pillsbury, Mayer Brown, Kasowitz, K&L, Morgan Lewis, Linklaters... I mean the list goes on! don't be sad people! especially not over a handful of firms. They're probably taking this long to decide how much signing bonus is appropriate in order for us to accept!

Just got V&E (Houston/E-Mailed).

Any sort of stats you can give us? I'm just curious, as an incoming 1L who thinks V&E, Baker Botts, etc. are the firms I will want to work at most, whether I'll need to be top 3rd? Top half? etc., to have a chance.

CLS person here answering the above question: I think grades are def. impt. From CLS, at LEAST top 40% i believe. But fit is also very impt too. I know someone who didn't get one of the big Houston Firms but got a cb at V5 and V15 and a lot of other CBs.
