Alameda DA - 200 interviews at 8 law schools (40 at Hastings) for 8-10 summer law clerk positions.
Morgan Lewis - 30 interviews at Boalt, 10 at Hastings for 6 SA positions.

Even if everything else were equal, on pure statistics alone we are looking at 5-10% chances at best at any given employer.
Boaltie here. Don't let the 30 interviews at Boalt freak you out at all. Interviewers are not allowed to pre-screen at all for any candidate, which means 29 out of those 30 could be people the interviewer isn't remotely interested in meeting with. Our system is pure luck - you bid and get the slot based on a random lottery. Only after this does the employer get to see your resume. And they don't even get to see transcripts until the actual interview - which could automatically weed out a lot people.

9 interviews, silence.

Some firms promised prompt callbacks (within week or so). Others said no CBs until mid-September.

Also expecting the worst.

EDIT: Hastings

H here as well. One interviewer said, "you'll be hearing from us soon." That, apparently, means nothing.

Hastings here.

I've asked around too and no one I've talked to has heard anything. I guess it hasn't been a week. But some of the firms said that I'll hear from them soon or in a couple of days. One firm said that CB decisions won't be made for a couple of weeks.

Let's hold tight. I got too much stuff going on to start freaking out. I am kind of expecting the worst... It's no good when step 1 is so difficult to pass...

D:

We find out about round 3 at midnight tonight. Got an email saying I was preselected for 1 (or more) interviews, but beyond that I don't have a clue. I bid on 7 for this round.

Edit: 5 firms and 2 DA's offices.

They didn't count being friends with Snoop Dogg as a tie to the area?
