Why wouldn't you take the job? Visit and if you like the area then go ahead. I have a very close friend who started at 64k with a bonus and then ended up about 14 months later (now) at around 80k. He's a little upset though since they brought in a patents guy who is almost starting at his current salary level. So do with it what you will. Its a smaller firm so more money to go around (I assume) since my friend did work his ass off for them but he said it was recognized by the firm. Also, never never underestimate a low cost of living since you will be finding things way cheaper than where you went to school.
