Also, Georgiana, when someone specifically obfuscates their school by saying MVP, that is not a cue for you to out them. I realize that the OP posted anon, but this is still poor form.
Actually, I did mean top 36%. I'm just poor with math jargon and forgot the difference.

Also, after doing a little more research on what class ranks typically are at my school, I think my GPA puts me closer to top %33. It's very hard to tell, though, with the lack of solid information. I do know that I'm a couple of hundredths of a point from the first latin honors, if that helps figuring it out at all.

Also, Chicago is my primary target. I'm originally from the Midwest and I'd only go to the coasts for D.C., which I'm not even sure if I'm going to put bids into. Although I will certainly mail some apps that way ;)

OP, congrats on LR - and you are my GPA twin! *weeping over my rejection email still* (no, just kidding)

If I'm right about your school (which I think I am), you are among the 10-12 people who have purely wrote-on w/o any consideration for grades (in order to do the write+grade-on thing you need to be > 3.5-ish). Obviously, you are a very good writer, and you should take pride on that. Play up your strength, be confident, and throw in a few reaches which you really heart. Good luck!

Wow, based on this thread I think I have the exact same GPA, same school, and also just got on to law review.

If I can hijack as well, does anyone have any thoughts about my chances in D.C. (I'm using all my bids on D.C., with some Baltimore firms as "back-ups," if there is such a thing) I had started a thread earlier with only my GPA info, and people seemed pretty bleak about my chances. Do you think LR will give me a fighting chance?
