I wish! It seems no one has heard from LR, not even those who know they graded on, so the suspense continues.

I was hoping for something, oh well. Do they make enough offers so that when people decline they don't need to make more or is there a possibility that journals will make additional offers?

How do people know that they graded on? Did someone tell them? Or is there a certain GPA?

The top 28 students grade on... That's about the top 5-6%. Most people can't know for sure whether or not they graded on because Fordham only tells us the top 10% in approx. standings.

However, the top 15 students receive Wilkinson Scholar designations. Thus, if a student was recognzied as a Wilkinson Scholar already, they know they graded on. There are still other grade-on spots available that are not certain yet though.

Are you sure about that? In the bios for Fordham kids on firm websites, it says Wilkinson recognizes the top 15.

This person has accurate information. I was told how many Wilkinson Scholarships were given out when I asked some time ago, though I do not have one.

I did just make IPLJ about an hour ago, so they are still calling people.

That's all I know--- I asked if they heard of anyone hearing about law review, and they each said yes + named the individuals (one of whom definitely did not grade on).

I know a bunch of people who haven't heard anything at all, myself included. Getting nervous. What percentage of the class participate/get a journal offer anyways? Is is over half? Do they wait until people have accepted before making more offers (it sounds like they are doing it in batches)?

FYI, last summer, law review made offers first to those who made it, then all the other journals made offers. so if you didn't hear from law review yet, chances are that you did not get it. it makes sense to do it in that order, otherwise, someone who gets an offer from a secondary journal first, would reject it as soon as he got a law review offer. offering law review positions first, leaves the other journals free to grab up the remainder. if you submitted an application, chances are you will get an offer from at least 1 secondary journal unless you did something crazy like a blank essay or no footnoting corrections. and yes, after the first round of offers, another round will be made for remaining positions on the secondary journals.

That makes good sense, but I don't think it happened that way this year. Two people who know they graded on haven't gotten their invitations yet. If LR has started calling people, it's clear they haven't finished. A lot of my friends have gotten their secondary offers, however.

To the person with friends who have made it, do you by any chance know if they were called this afternoon?

I've heard top 5-6% grade-on from some sources, but others say that part-time students are not counted and that around top 10% of full-time students grade-on. Does anyone actually know the answer and have some kind of source for it?

Also, haven't heard of anyone getting a LR offer yet...
