Fordham 1L. 1 interview, 1 alternate - only uploaded 4 resumes but to places that are a good fit with my prior work and school experience.
Also I think how early you uploaded makes a difference. I did it right after finals on 12/21 because a career counselor said hundreds of resumes get uploaded and the orgs may not even look at the ones that get in later.

NYU forces each employer to give 8 of their interview slots to NYU students.
Also, these employers care about "commitment to PI" which is lame.
I got 2 interviews.

Yea, "caring" about having some past experience in a related field is completely lame.
I applied to 7 places for post graduate positions (geographically limited for family reasons) and got two interviews. I had hoped for more, but both places would be kind of dream come true jobs so I'm definitely not bummed.

OK, all you PILC free-signup people need to get off the website. I can't get into any law school websites because the server is overloaded. I'm trying to look up someone's email address, and you're all making it very, very difficult!

What exactly constitutes commitment to public service? Are we talking Peace Corps kind of stuff or just volunteering in Habitat for Humanity kind of stuff?
And for those of us who don't really have a background in community service but still want to go into public service careers, are there things we could do 1L year to demonstrate this commitment or is it all prior accomplishments?

Can anyone elaborate on what table talk really entails? I think I'm going to go tomorrow but I don't have any interviews set up.

Re: NYU PILC Job Fair
1. Go to the Fair
2. Go to the tables of orgs you want to work for.
3. Have questions ready....a good one is what can I expect to do this summer as an intern with your org.
4. Give resume
There will be swarming hoardes at certain tables and lots of hawks waiting to swoop as soon as a chair becomes available. Just stay the course and wait for your spot. You have to be a little pushy too.
I think it was worth it. Got my resume into a few places that I couldn't get interviews with.

Did anyone get a job/offer/callback yet from the PI fair? I thank god I didn't have to do it because if it resembled anything like OCI this past fall....

I got two offers from the fair, one Monday and one Tuesday. But I think it's early and that's a fluke.

I've got two offers from the fair and a follow-up interview out of four interviews total. Both offers came early last week.

Are any of you that received offers 2Ls? Are the jobs paid?
