Just so you dreamers realize, the people at elite boutiques are working biglaw hours as well, it's just in an office of 25 lawyers instead of 250.

Dream job would be to litigate John Edwards type personal injury actions with John Edwards type payouts, but to cheat on gf/with attractive women as opposed to Rielle Hunter looking folk.

Not always, there are 'lifestyle' firms.BradyToMoss wrote:Just so you dreamers realize, the people at elite boutiques are working biglaw hours as well, it's just in an office of 25 lawyers instead of 250.

LeBron's agent for his 2010 off-season payout. The percentage I'd get of that would be astronomical even if it was a small percentage.

FWIW I don't think anyone used "elite boutique".

Honestly, when people around here reference boutiques, they seem to be talking about the powerhouse boutiques that can legitimately give a challenge to the V10s of the world.boilercat wrote:Fair enough.ToTransferOrNot wrote:They are not the elite boutiques.boilercat wrote:Not always, there are 'lifestyle' firms.BradyToMoss wrote:Just so you dreamers realize, the people at elite boutiques are working biglaw hours as well, it's just in an office of 25 lawyers instead of 250.

I was going to just post, "One that pays money.", and leave it that. But then I saw this:

+1steve_nash wrote:US Attorney. I want to say "I represent the United States of America" whenever I step up to speak in court. Plus, the best lawyer I've ever seen/heard is a USA...much better than some big law partners that I saw in court. He was pretty inspiring.

Gotcha. I think there's also the conception that most 'lifestyle' firms are boutiques. I don't know if that's true or not.ToTransferOrNot wrote:Honestly, when people around here reference boutiques, they seem to be talking about the powerhouse boutiques that can legitimately give a challenge to the V10s of the world.boilercat wrote:Fair enough.ToTransferOrNot wrote:They are not the elite boutiques.boilercat wrote:

I would sell the rights to all of my future children for a law prof job at Stanford, Boalt, UCLA, etc.
But noooo, no transfer students managed to write on to the LR, so my dreams of living the chill life of a law prof are dust

In house council/compliance director for major NCAA football team whose coach is willing to adopt the radical new offense I have developed and then take me under his wing as coach in waiting till he retires in 5 years. Oh, and I would like to write fantasy novels as well.
