Did everyone snail mail their packet of materials? Or is email appropriate?

Never heard of email being appropriate, most judges didn't even have obvious email addresses.JPeavy44 wrote:Did everyone snail mail their packet of materials? Or is email appropriate?

Typically snail mailed. Hand delivered when convenient.JPeavy44 wrote:Did everyone snail mail their packet of materials? Or is email appropriate?

It depends on the judge. As my above post says, you should call the judge's chambers and ask what they prefer. Some will only accept snail mail, but if they accept email, it can make the turn-around really fast. I've worked for 3 judges now that all accepted email, and I had done initial interviews within two days of submitting my materials for each of them.JPeavy44 wrote:Thanks snail mail it is.

Aside from calling all the judges and asking their preference, should you send your writing sample in the initial set of stuff (resume, cover letter) or wait until they ask for it?

Probably doesn't matter. I didn't include one; a couple judges asked for it, but others gave offers without ever seeing a writing sample.Anonymous User wrote:Aside from calling all the judges and asking their preference, should you send your writing sample in the initial set of stuff (resume, cover letter) or wait until they ask for it?
